Dental Hygienist

Location: New York, NY 10029
Contract: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day | Mon–Thu 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Fri 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Hours: 37.5 Hours/Week
Openings: 1
Pay Rate: $2,500–$2,600/week

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year Registered Dental Hygienist experience

• Valid New York State Dental Hygienist License

• NYSED Primary Source Verification required

• NYSED Certificate to administer & monitor Local Infiltration Anesthesia & Nitrous Oxide Analgesia

• X-ray certification preferred

• Strong dental hygiene and preventive-care skills

• Experience with dental charting and periodontal assessment

• Patient education experience

• Strong communication and patient-service skills

• Proficient in English

• Must provide required license and certification documentation

Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings and remove deposits and stains.

• Apply topical agents, desensitizing agents, and sealants.

• Polish teeth and provide preventive dental care.

• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.

• Perform dental X-rays as required.

• Obtain medical histories and vital signs.

• Perform dental charting and periodontal assessments.

• Administer and monitor local infiltration anesthesia and nitrous oxide as authorized.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

• Communicate with dentists, patients, and healthcare professionals.

• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
