Get to Know Your Team:
Provide clinical dental hygiene services for adult, pediatric, and special needs patients, including patient education (oral hygiene instruction, nutrition counseling, and patient/parent guidance), periodontal screenings, radiographs, prophylaxis, scaling and root planing as indicated, and sealants as treatment planned.
Deliver dental hygiene care to developmentally disabled adult and pediatric patients, including appropriate patient management techniques.
Generate monthly recall lists and assist with scheduling patients as needed to support departmental work-flow.
Utilize Dentrix software for dental services and assist with updates and daily functionality as needed.
Support the onboarding of new staff and residents in thDentrixf Dentrix software.
Maintain and restock oral hygiene patient education materials.
Assist with ordering and maintaining dental hygiene instruments and supplies.
Support the maintenance of radiographs and radiographic equipment.
Provide guidance and share knowledge with residents regarding dental hygiene services when needed.
Participate in community outreach activities and programs with community partners.
Record meeting notes for monthly staff and departmental meetings.
Assist residents and front office staff as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned; responsibilities may evolve over time.
Job Requirements:
Associate’s degree in dental Hygiene.
Current Dental Hygiene license.
Dental Anesthesia certificate.
5 years’ experience in clinical dental hygiene.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Familiarity with dental software programs.
Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal skills required
