Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and caring Dental Hygienist to join our team! We are a private, fee for service practice providing superb professional dental care that makes our patients feel like family. As a hygienist, you will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, and assist the dentists with exams . The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist and has at least one year of experience. Days need are Tuesdays from 9am -6 pm and possibly Fridays. Responsibilities
Provide preventive dental care, including cleaning and polishing teeth, applying sealants, and fluoride treatments.
Provide Periodontal Therapy which includes but not limited to Full Mouth Scaling and Root Planing.
Assess patient oral health and provide education on proper oral hygiene techniques.
Evaluate teeth and soft tissue for signs of disease or other conditions.
Obtain x-rays, panorex, intra oral pictures and obtain other diagnostic tests.
Record medical and dental histories/updates of patients.
Assist in scheduling and coordinating patients next recare appointments
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred
Current Dental Hygienist licensure
At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
Anesthetic certification
Laser applications is a bonus
Excellent communication and customer service skills
