Dental Hygienist - Part Time

Salary range: $39-$44/hr

Essential Job Duties:

• Reviews patient health history and informs the dentist of any changes affecting treatment.
• Prepares treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.
• Assists the dentist during examinations and dental procedures.
• Exposes, develops, and mounts dental radiographs.
• Cleans, sterilizes, and maintains dental instruments and equipment.
• Follows infection control and safety guidelines.
• Maintains accurate patient charts and treatment records.
• Demonstrates knowledge of various consents, including oral surgery, papoose, and endodontic procedures.
• Provides patient education and support regarding oral hygiene and treatment procedures.
   

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience/Education: Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Must meet applicable Iowa Dental Board requirements for registration as a Dental Assistant. Current CPR certification required.
