Join Our Team at Rochelle E. Hackley DDS Dental Spa as a Dental Hygienist!
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our large, fast-paced practice. Our team of 10 works across 7 operatories, providing excellent patient care in a supportive and professional environment. This is a full-time role with consistent hours and the opportunity to use advanced technology while building lasting patient relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Patient screening procedures, including oral health assessments, health history reviews, oral cancer screenings, head and neck inspections, dental charting, and taking vitals and photos.
- Taking and processing dental radiographs, CBCT, and panoramic x-rays.
- Removing calculus, plaque, and stains (hard and soft deposits) from teeth surfaces.
- Applying preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides.
- Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies, including tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
- Making impressions for study casts and using iTero for digital impressions.
- Performing documentation and office management activities.
- Maintaining instruments and equipment with care.
- Becoming efficient in techniques including scanning (iTero), probing (Perio), Arestin, periodontal therapy, root planning & scaling, anesthesia, and whitening.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Dental Hygienist in Maryland.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Professional, organized, and attentive to detail.
- Positive, punctual, and a reliable team player.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
