Job Title: Dental Hygienist

Location: Woodbridge, VA

Pay Rate: $77.77/hr, W 2

Summary:

• Duration:6 Weeks
• Shift hours are 8am-5pm, with a 1-hour lunch from 1-2pm
• 1 hour per patient

Responsibilities:

• Operate GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment as required
• Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and education according to state guidelines
• Apply fluoride and protective sealants
• Remove calculus, stain, and plaque from above and below the gum line
• Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease
• Record and review patient medical histories
• Uphold office policy including HIPAA & OSHA
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Order and keep track of inventory as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school
• Dental Hygienist License
• X-Ray Certifications
• Minimum one (1) year of hands-on experience as a hygienist
• GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Anesthesia Certifications

Work Environment:

• This job operates in a medical/clinical environment
• Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, x-rays, and phones
• Operates in a well-lighted, sterile environment
• Employees must wear gloves, masks, protective eyewear, and clothing to protect themselves and their patients from infectious disease

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to talk and hear
• Stand and/or sit for long periods of time
• Walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds
• Regular exposure to blood and blood-borne pathogens and/or physical risks, requiring OSHA training
