Overview:

Dental Patient Relations Coordinator

Endodontic Associates Dental Group

 

We are seeking a Dental Patient Relations Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will help patients move forward with recommended dental treatment by providing proactive follow-up, coordinating care, and serving as a trusted resource throughout their treatment journey. Working closely with doctors and clinical teams, you'll answer basic treatment questions, assist with scheduling, coordinate medical clearances, and help remove barriers that may prevent patients from receiving timely care - all while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

 

Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Thursday 

Responsibilities:
  • Review reports of patients with diagnosed but unscheduled treatment.
  • Contact patients by telephone, email, text or other approved methods of communication.
  • Make appropriate changes in practice management software in patient’s chart and on schedule.
  • Follow up with patients that have not cancelled or failed to schedule appointments.
  • Contact patients or referring dentists when waiting on medical clearances for treatment.
  • Maintain a professional, compassionate, healthcare centered approach during all interactions.
  • Schedule existing patient appointments.
  • Coordinate treatment appointments across multiple different locations.
  • Maintain waitlists and call back lists.
  • Coordinate with front office teams for continuity of patient care.
  • Appropriately document all patient interactions in practice management software program.
  • Understand and discuss approved payment options and insurance participation.
  • Build trust and rapport with patients through professional communication.
  • Demonstrate genuine concern for patient health and wellbeing.
  • Support practice initiatives designed to improve patient care and treatment acceptance.
  • Collaborate effectively with doctors, clinical teams and administrators.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned.
Qualifications:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year customer service, healthcare, scheduling or patient-facing experience

Preferred Skills

  • Dental office experience
  • Treatment coordination or scheduling experience
  • Knowledge of dental insurance and financing options
  • Call center or patient outreach experience
