Salary Grade

Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Working for the Healthy Smiles Sealant Program (HSSP), this position will oversee the transport of portable dental equipment and supplies to and from schools in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. As needed, the technician will be responsible for the maintenance of the equipment and vehicle.

CONTACTS
Department: Daily contact with chairman, faculty, staff and students to exchange program information.
University: Daily contact with security, plant services to exchange information.
External: Daily contact with Cleveland Metropolitan School District personnel for program administration.
Students: Daily contact with sealant program students and dental students for program administration.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no direct supervision
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 1 to 1.5 years of related experience required. Experience with dental equipment (compressor, air/water syringe, portable lights) preferred.
Education/Licensing: High School education required. Valid Drivers License required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position will be required to load and unload the dental equipment from storage to a cargo van to the Cleveland Metropolitan Schools. Depending on the school, it may require carrying equipment up some stairs. Heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs., will be required. Depending on the weather, the driving conditions may play a factor in the road conditions getting to the schools.
