Dental Treatment Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and highly personable Dental Treatment Coordinator to play a key role in patient care, treatment acceptance, provider scheduling, and the continued growth of our dental offices.

This position is ideal for someone who understands dentistry, communicates exceptionally well with patients, and has a natural sales-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset. The successful candidate will be comfortable discussing comprehensive treatment, helping patients understand the value and importance of recommended care, overcoming barriers to treatment, and turning treatment recommendations into scheduled dentistry.

This individual will also take an active role in managing and maximizing the schedules of our doctors and specialists, ensuring that provider time is used effectively and opportunities for treatment are not lost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present comprehensive treatment plans to patients in a clear, confident, and understandable manner.
  • Educate patients about recommended dentistry and help them understand the benefits, priorities, and importance of completing treatment.
  • Discuss treatment costs, insurance benefits, financing options, and payment arrangements with patients.
  • Follow up consistently with patients who have outstanding or unscheduled treatment.
  • Identify and address concerns that may be preventing patients from moving forward with recommended care.
  • Build trust and rapport with patients while maintaining a professional, patient-centered approach.
  • Coordinate and manage the schedules of doctors and specialists to maximize productivity and appropriate utilization.
  • Ensure specialist schedules are filled effectively and that patients are scheduled for the appropriate treatment.
  • Work closely with doctors, clinical teams, front-office staff, and management to coordinate treatment and maintain continuity of care.
  • Monitor treatment acceptance and outstanding treatment opportunities.
  • Ensure patients are aware of specialty and comprehensive treatment options that may benefit them.
  • Develop effective follow-up systems to prevent recommended treatment from falling through the cracks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding treatment discussions, financial arrangements, and patient follow-up.
  • Take ownership of goals and actively look for new ways to improve results and grow the practice.

Sales & Growth Mindset

A major component of this position is the ability to promote dentistry in a professional and ethical manner.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable talking about dentistry, presenting value, asking patients to move forward with treatment, and following up when they do not immediately schedule.

The right person will have an entrepreneurial mentality and will not simply wait for opportunities to come to them. They will actively look for ways to increase treatment acceptance, maximize provider schedules, improve patient retention, and contribute to the overall growth of the offices.

This person should be motivated by results and enjoy setting and achieving measurable goals.

Requirements

  • An excellent communicator who can connect with many different types of patients
  • Confident, outgoing, polished, and highly personable
  • Comfortable discussing significant treatment plans and financial commitments
  • Organized and able to coordinate multiple doctors and specialists
  • Highly skilled at follow-up and closing outstanding treatment
  • Goal-oriented and motivated by measurable results
  • Comfortable being accountable for treatment acceptance and schedule performance
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively with doctors, specialists, clinical teams, and office leadership
  • Knowledgeable about dental terminology, procedures, insurance, and treatment planning
  • Experienced in dental treatment coordination, case presentation, dental sales.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 6:00pm

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 (tied to production)
