Overview

Dental Treatment Coordinator

East Valley Periodontics

 

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our team at East Valley Periodontics. In this role, you'll guide patients through their treatment plans, explain recommended care, review financial options, and help ensure a seamless experience from consultation through completion of treatment.

Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Thursday 7:45am-5:00pm and Friday 7:45am-3:00pm


Responsibilities

  • Present proposed treatment plans to patients and explain procedures, timelines, and financial obligations
  • Coordinate scheduling of treatment appointments based on provider availability and patient needs
  • Obtain necessary pre-authorizations and ensure accurate insurance benefit breakdowns
  • Review payment options, process financial arrangements, and collect payments as needed
  • Follow up with patients regarding pending treatment and ensure timely case acceptance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatment plans and communication
  • Serve as a liaison between the provider and patient to facilitate understanding and trust
  • Educate patients on the importance and value of proposed treatments
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations
  • Assist with front desk duties as needed
  • Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned 

Qualifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with dental treatment planning and insurance coordination
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Experience with dental practice management software
  • Ability to explain complex information in a clear and supportive way
  • Understanding of dental procedures, codes, and insurance plans
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory requirements

The salary range for this role is $25-$28 per hour.
