Providence Dental Clinic is seeking a full-time Dentist to join an established, community-based dental program in Santa Rosa, California. This role is ideal for an experienced dentist with a passion for serving pediatric and underserved populations in a mission-driven clinical setting.

The clinic provides more than 8,000 patient visits annually, with care focused primarily on children ages 0 to 20, including an intentional emphasis on children ages 0 to 5, and patients with special needs and pregnant women. While the majority of care is pediatric, limited adult treatment is provided for emergency needs.

The program supports access to dental care through a mobile dental initiative serving high-need sites throughout Sonoma County, including elementary schools. This dual clinic/mobile model allows providers to reach patients who may otherwise face significant barriers to care.

Position Details:

  • Full-time position in a community dental clinic setting
  • Monday to Friday schedule; typical hours 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Strong pediatric patient focus
  • Approximately 25 to 30 patients per day in the clinic
  • Participation in the mobile dental program on a rotating basis
  • Mobile clinic schedule averages 24 to 26 patients per day
  • Mobile services include exams, cleanings, x-rays, and simple extractions
  • 2 mobile dental units serving high-need sites across Sonoma County
  • Opportunity for future clinical or program leadership involvement

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation is between $177,763 and $245,351 per year

The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited U.S. dental school
  • Experienced dentist; mid-career candidates strongly preferred
  • Active, unrestricted dental license (or ability to obtain)
  • Continuous work history with no gaps in clinical practice
  • Experience in a community clinic, rural hospital, FQHC, or similar setting
  • Background rooted in community-based care
  • Experience working with special needs populations is preferred
  • Spanish language proficiency is preferred
  • Interest in leadership growth opportunities over time is preferred

About the Company

P

Providence Health & Services

Our Mission is more than just words.

About Us

As the third largest not-for-profit health system in the United States, we are committed to providing for the needs of our communities – especially for those who are poor and vulnerable – across Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon and Washington.

Our system includes more than 82,000 caregivers (all employees) serving in a diverse range of ministries from birth to end of life, including acute care, physician clinics, long-term and assisted living, palliative and hospice care, home health, supportive housing and education.

Where we serve

We operate 34 hospitals, 600 physician clinics, 22 long-term care facilities, 19 hospice and home health programs and 693 supportive housing units in 14 locations. Our health plan serves our caregivers and other large employer groups covering 513,000 members.

On any given day, we care for more than 1,200 people in our long-term care settings, more than 4,000 in our hospitals and more than 15,000 in our clinic settings. Daily, we serve more than 7,000 people in our many home health and palliative care programs and almost 800 in supportive housing. We touch more than five times as many lives in non-acute settings as we do in the traditional hospital setting.

A tradition of caring for everyone

When the Sisters arrived in the Pacific Northwest in 1856, they came to answer a call for help from a new pioneer community. What they found were many communities in need of service, and so with dedication to the Mission and collaboration with like-minded partners, their ministry grew to what is now a five-state health system.

Providence Health & Services continues a tradition of caring that the Sisters of Providence began more than 158 years ago. The cornerstone of our Mission is to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

We believe making a difference is one of our greatest rewards.

Caring is what we do.

Our benefits help us care for our employees and their families by supporting their wellness and providing tools that promote financial security and professional growth.*
