POSITION SUMMARY:

The Department Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient daily operations within the Patient Financial Services (PFS) department. Responsibilities are primarily office-based and include document processing, mail coordination, data entry, and general administrative support.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

      Previous clerical, administrative, or office support experience

      Experience with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Access

       KPH greater than or equal to 8,000 with 90% accuracy rate (current certificate within three years) (dept  responsibility to verify)

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Desired:

      Experience in a hospital or healthcare business setting, or customer service environment

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Accurate data entry and attention to detail. Proficient in general office equipment (scanner, copier, phone systems). Clear and professional communication skills (phone, email, in-person). Basic understanding of confidentiality requirements and handling sensitive information. Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.  Strong customer service mindset and teamwork skills.  Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Demonstrates reliability, accuracy and attention to detail. Support a collaborative team environment.
