Key Responsibilities Prepares and maintains lab equipment and supplies in conformation with infections control policies and procedures as outlined by OHSA and the American Dental Association guidelines. Ensures that safety checks of the laboratory are performed prior to lunch breaks and the end of the day (to be completed after the last student departs, when possible). Assists in identifying hazardous equipment, materials, and non-participant students with day-to-day cleaning responsibilities. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as necessary or assists in contacting the appropriate agency or vendor to ensure timely repairs. Tracks budget expenditures and creates purchase orders. Ensures custodial services and supplies have been provided for the classroom. Minimum Qualifications Required Completion of an accredited dental assistant or dental hygiene program Possession of Dental Assistant Infection Control and Radiography Certificate One year of related experience Valid American Heart Association BLS Card (CPR Card) Or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment Preferred Qualifications Possession of Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Certificate or State of California Dental Hygiene License.
