Department Manager, Utilization management

HCT seeks an experienced nursing leader to serve as the Interim Department Manager of Utilization Management for a 400+ bed hospital in California.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree required in Nursing or related field
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Utilization Management in inpatient, 2 years of leadership experience as a manager; demonstrated experience with medical necessity review, level of care determination, concurrent review and UM processes. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid/Medi-Cal and commercial health plan requirements, ability to rapidly assess operations and function effectively.
• Certifications: RN license in California and BLS through AHA required
• Systems: Epic
