The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences provides informed and compassionate care for a variety of vision and eye conditions, including adult and pediatric retina, glaucoma, cataracts, cornea, neuro-ophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology, external eye diseases, and emergency services. Additionally, we offer high quality and personalized LASIK and refractive surgery, as well as a full range of optometry services including contact lenses and eyeglasses.

Position Description
The Chair serves at the discretion of and has responsibilities and authority delegated by the Dean of the TTUHSC School of Medicine. The Chair represents and leads a faculty of 15-20 members and oversees an annual budget of approximately $20-25 million. Preferred candidates will have or be eligible for tenure at the academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor. A comprehensive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience.
