    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelors degree. A minimum of three years experience in engineering, construction management, road and bridge operations, or maintenance are required. A valid Drivers license is required. Additional experience in engineering, construction management, road and bridge operations, or maintenance may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.

    The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) is seeking an experienced and results-oriented professional to serve as the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Manager. This position provides strategic and operational leadership for countywide roadway, bridge, sidewalk, drainage, canal, vegetation management, and emergency response activities.

    The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience managing large-scale public works operations, multidisciplinary field crews, budgets, equipment, contracts, performance measures, and regulatory requirements. The selected candidate must demonstrate effective leadership, sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with internal departments, municipalities, regulatory agencies, elected officials, and the public.

    The selected candidate will lead essential infrastructure maintenance programs that directly support public safety, mobility, storm preparedness, and the quality of life throughout Miami-Dade County.
