About the position:
Reporting to the Executive Director or designee, this position supports the Millersville University Talent Search Program in the Center for Intercultural and Student Engagement (CISE). The position requires a willingness to complete tasks in a timely manner and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Talent Search (TS) and Center for Intercultural and Student Engagement (CISE) clerical assistant is responsible for the administrative functions and general support for TS and CISE including:
Required Qualifications
Six months as a clerical assistant 1 OR graduation from high school OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Experience performing moderately complex clerical activities with considerable independence.
Demonstrated ability to:
work with faculty, staff, and students of diverse cultures, racial and ethnic groups, and socioeconomic status.
solve problems.
handle multiple, complex tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
maintain a professional demeanor in fast-paced work environment.
maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
work independently.
learn academic and office policies.
change priorities with little/no notice.
help TS and CISE maintain compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies and other requirements.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Flexibility, willingness, and ability to pursue and adopt new ideas, information, and technology, and process and summarize information.
Proficiency in standard office technology, including Microsoft Office, Teams, and Zoom.
Experience managing schedules using software management systems.
Commitment to inclusive practices and working with diverse student populations.
Successful interview (including Word and Excel tests).
Successful completion of three background checks.
