Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, plus 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 6 years of experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. As a Subject Matter Expert with extensive experience, the Senior Advanced Engineer Support Specialist will analyze the effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources; analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during research and/or product development; and determine, monitor, and review costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements. You’ll be expected to perform all aspects of Systems Engineering disciplines including Requirements Analysis, Use Cases and Data Flow Diagrams development as well as defining system default data definition through Interface Control Documents (ICDs) development. You’ll also perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems, as well as system integration and testing and regression testing of software. As apart of the Deployment and Integration Group (DIG), you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for scheduling/coordination/execution of installations on-board the Ohio and Columbia class platforms. This includes frequent customer interaction and building tool sets of documentation that details the coordination efforts.
