About The Role

SUMMARY:

Our growing financial institution is seeking a Deposit Operations Specialist to join our Spokane Deposit Operations Team. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily operational functions within the bank and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and eager to grow within the banking industry.

You will be responsible for supporting customer service efforts, performing operational and administrative tasks, and ensuring accurate processing of deposit-related activities. The pay range for this postion is $20.68 to $31.01 per hour.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Responsibilities:
Branch daily operations support.
Support branches by answering policy and procedural questions and researching nonstandard customer needs.
Cash vault servicing and monitoring for branches
Review and process daily reports as assigned.
Fulfill Research Requests from internal and external parties.
Perform New Account Reviews using Synapsis for onboarding accuracy.

eBanking Support:
Provide customer support for all eBanking products, including troubleshooting and user education.
Perform system maintenance.
Process domestic and international wire transfers with accuracy and compliance.

Additional Responsibilities:
Adhere to Wheatland Bank Company Core Values.
Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
Participate in Community Service and Bank sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of Wheatland Bank.
Represent Wheatland Bank in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs.
Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy.
Attends and participates in meetings as required.

About You

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Two to five years of experience in banking, financial services, or deposit operations.
Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with core banking systems and eBanking platforms.
Ability to operate a multi-line phone system, computer, and related software
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must complete all assigned online training and achieve a passing score by the due date.
Must comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
Must be able to work independently or as a team with little direct supervision.
Must be able to use email, instant message, and phone calls efficiently to communicate with supervisor and other team members.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position. PTO accruals begin at .0745 per hour worked for our part time employees up to a maximum accrual of 240 hours per year for certain Full-Time employees. PTO accruals are dependent on position, status (Full time or Part time), and years of experience in accordance with our PTO policy. Most Full-Time employees are also offered 6 paid holidays and Part Time employees are offered pro-rated paid holidays.
