Job Description The Office of Inclusive Excellence and Student Affairs seeks a dedicated and motivated graduate student to support initiatives aimed at fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment, with a specialized focus on administrative operations supporting our military or veteran student population and adapting to adult learning trends. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, manage critical administrative functions, engage with diverse stakeholders, and enhance personal and professional development in higher education administration. Key Responsibilities Administrative Support & Compliance: Assist with administrative work related to institutional compliance and record-keeping. Assist with drafting reports, presentations, and maintaining organized, confidential records of program activities, compliance outcomes, and audits. Provide general office support, manage digital documentation, and streamline remote administrative workflows. Veteran Affairs Administration: Assist in the coordination and tracking of administrative tasks, resources, and outreach efforts dedicated to the veteran student community to ensure an inclusive campus climate. Respond to inquiries from veteran students, faculty, and staff, and provide accurate information about available specialized resources. Bookstore Operations: Perform administrative and clerical tasks related to campus/organizational bookstore operations. Assist with tracking and coordinating the distribution of textbooks, supplies, or materials tailored to the needs of non-traditional students and adult learners. Program Support: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of programs, workshops, and events, particularly those celebrating and supporting the military or veteran student population and adult learners. Develop promotional materials, including flyers, newsletters, and social media content, to enhance event outreach. Manage event logistics, such as scheduling, securing virtual or physical venues, and coordinating guest speakers or facilitators. Research and Data Collection: Conduct research on adult learning trends, compliance best practices, and veteran resources to inform office initiatives. Collect and analyze data related to the military or veteran student population, bookstore accessibility, and adult learner belonging on campus (e.g., surveys, focus groups) to identify opportunities for improvement. Communication and Outreach: Maintain and update the office's website and social media platforms. Qualifications Must be a current graduate student at Antioch University and eligible for work-study funding. Strong commitment to supporting the military or veteran student population and understanding adult learning trends. Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail and organizational workflows. Willingness to learn and unlearn. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Google Workspace. Preferred: Prior experience working with, or a strong preference for supporting, the veteran or military-connected community. Experience or coursework related to administrative compliance, database management, or communications. Experience in program coordination, academic affairs, or student affairs tailored to adult learning trends. Familiarity with social media platforms and website management tools.
