Duties Description Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of the Deferred Compensation Board (DCB), the Deputy Director of Administration serves as a strategic partner in the administration, oversight, and continued advancement of the New York State Deferred Compensation Plan. The role also supports oversight and rulemaking related to other governmental 457(b) plans established in New York State.
The Deputy Director helps lead strategic business planning, procurement, vendor management governance support, operational continuity, and external representation for the Plan. This position is intended to provide strong executive level support to the Executive Director and to help build leadership continuity and succession capacity for the organization. The Deputy Director supervises the Associate Director for Administration and works closely with Board members, consultants, legal counsel, auditors, the recordkeeper, participating employers and other key stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college of university.

Additional Comments Work Hours and Telecommuting will be discussed during the interview. Hybrid work schedule with three days in the office each week. In-person attendance at all Board meetings is required. Travel is required for statewide meetings, employer meetings, and industry conferences.
