About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Deputy Director of IT network and Infrastructure to lead and manage our organization's technology infrastructure which is primarily on-prem. In this hands-on role, you will oversee all aspects of IT systems, networks, servers, and cloud environments that support our clinical and administrative operations. You will serve as a key technology leader, ensuring that the infrastructure is secure, scalable, and aligned with healthcare industry standards and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all IT network and infrastructure functions including servers, networking, storage, cloud systems, and end-user computing across the organization. Primarily on-prem.
• Develop and execute a multi-year IT infrastructure roadmap aligned with organizational growth and healthcare technology trends.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of all infrastructure systems supporting clinical and business operations.
• Oversee IT security initiatives including vulnerability management, threat detection, and compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and evaluate new solutions to meet evolving operational needs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders to understand technology needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Manage the IT infrastructure budget, including capital and operational expenditures, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
• Establish and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response plans.
• Oversee end-user support operations, ensuring a high level of customer service and timely resolution of technical issues.

• 7+ years of progressive IT networking and infrastructure experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Demonstrated experience managing enterprise infrastructure in a healthcare, clinical laboratory, or similarly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of networking, server administration, virtualization, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), and IT security practices.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements and healthcare IT regulatory standards.
• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and technology contracts.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience supporting a hybrid work environment and multi-site operations.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified, or equivalent.
• Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
