Duties & Responsibilities:
The Deputy Director serves as the second-in-command to the Director of Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center and as a key clinical leader for the cancer center and health system. Working closely with the Director and senior leadership team, the Deputy Director is responsible for advancing the integration of oncology clinical care, clinical research, and cancer center priorities across VCU Health and Massey.
The Deputy Director serves as a critical liaison between the cancer center and health system leadership, ensuring alignment of strategic, operational, and growth initiatives across the cancer enterprise. The role provides executive oversight for the cancer service line, clinical trials enterprise, and disease working groups, fostering collaboration among physicians, researchers, administrators, and health system leaders to enhance patient care, expand access to innovative therapies, and strengthen Massey's position as a leading comprehensive cancer center.
The Deputy Director will identify opportunities to advance clinical and translational programs, accelerate the translation of discoveries into patient care, and support the continued growth and impact of Massey's multidisciplinary cancer programs throughout the region.
