Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Program Manager to support a high-impact DoD space operations effort based in Albuquerque, NM (Kirtland AFB), focused on securing advanced ground systems and mission-critical capabilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
PMP certification or equivalent program management credential.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in deputy or operations leadership roles supporting DoD programs.
Proven experience in space systems sustainment, integration, or operations.
Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
Demonstrated ability to maintain program stability and customer confidence in dynamic environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Program Manager in all aspects of program execution, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
Provide leadership continuity and operational oversight to ensure seamless program execution and responsiveness to Government priorities.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including technical, schedule, and cost performance across all functional areas.
Coordinate closely with subcontractors, technical leads, and Government counterparts to maintain alignment with program objectives.
Lead program reviews, risk assessments, and process improvement initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency.
Assume full program management responsibilities in the absence of the Program Manager to ensure uninterrupted leadership and decision-making.
Ensure compliance with all contractual, security, and regulatory requirements in support of space systems sustainment efforts.
