Launch Your Law Enforcement Career - No Experience Required!
No law enforcement experience? No problem. Once hired, you will be paid while attending training and sponsored through the Utah POST Academy to obtain your Basic Corrections Officer Certification.

Physical Fitness Test
In-Person Interviews (2-3 Weeks After Testing)
The top 18-25 scoring candidates will be invited to participate in an in-person interview with our hiring panel.

What You'll Do:
Deputy Sheriffs assigned to Corrections help maintain the safety and security of the Utah County Security Center. Duties include inmate booking, housing, transportation, supervision, and inmate work programs.
Important Hiring Information:
Testing is conducted every 2-3 months based on hiring needs. The most recent testing date took place on May 11, 2026.
Applicants will be contacted when a new testing date has been scheduled. All testing communication and updates will be sent via email.
