Full Time Position Available:

This position performs police work involving the protection of life and property, the enforcement of laws, and the investigation of crime. An incumbent in this position may be assigned to perform special duties. This position may also be responsible for patrolling the county to enforce federal, state and local laws and for serving civil papers and warrants.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited high school or state education program (GED). • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. • All applicants are subject to a Physical Agility Test, comprehensive background investigation, to include GCIC/NCIC, MVR, polygraph and reference checks. All offers of employment are contingent on satisfactory results on post-offer physical, drug screen, and psychological examination. • Ability to meet current requirements set forth in the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Act. • Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. • At least two (2) Years as mandated Peace Officer
