Campus Title Deputy Title IX Coordinator/Equity Compliance Officer Department Office of Diversity and Equity Position Summary
The Title IX Office, within the Office of Diversity and Equity, contributes to campus-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in order to integrate Title IX into the larger campus context. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator/Equity Compliance Officer works in collaboration with the Division of Student and Campus Life, Human Resources, Office of Accessibility Services, and other College staff, faculty and students to coordinate the dissemination of information to students and employees about their rights and the courses of action available to them regarding sex discrimination and acts of interpersonal and sexual violence. This role also collaborates with external community members such as local law enforcement, the district attorney, and community non-profit advocacy agencies.
The Deputy Title IX Coordinator/Equity Compliance Officer works directly with the Title IX Coordinator/Sr. Equity Compliance Officer to examine and implement innovative ways to ensure Title IX operations are culturally sensitive and inclusive. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator/Equity Compliance Officer has oversight of intakes and investigations of employee and student complaints pertaining to reports of discrimination, sexual harassment and acts of interpersonal and sexual violence. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator may be the first point of contact for incidents and would be accessible outside of normal business hours.

Percentage Of Time 45 Job Duty/ Responsibility
Serve as point of contact, perform outreach, conduct intakes and provide case management services to students and employees who report allegations of sexual misconduct, discrimination, sexual harassment, intimate partner violence and stalking. Implement supportive measures and provide resources to reporting individuals as necessary.
Percentage Of Time 20 Job Duty/ Responsibility
Collaboration with Campus and Community partners by serving as a cross-departmental liaison alongside the Title IX Coordinator/Sr. Equity Compliance Officer, by attending campus stakeholder meetings for regular case status reviews.
Percentage Of Time 15 Job Duty/ Responsibility
Provide direct supervision to the Harassment and Discrimination Investigator & Compliance Officer to ensure proper case records and investigation processes are maintained and confidential.
Percentage Of Time 10 Job Duty/ Responsibility
Coordination and support of investigations into discrimination and harassment complaints qualifying under Title IX, Title VI, Title VII and the SUNY Discrimination Complaint Procedure, conduct initial Title VI and Title IX hostile environment analyses, and provide support in conducting interviews and drafting investigatory reports as needed.

Provide assistance to the Title IX Coordinator in reviewing, implementing and facilitating annual training to students, employees, supervisors and campus partners on Title IX and Title VI topics/procedures.
