    Job Title: Derivative Packaging Technician | Reports to: Derivative Packaging Supervisor | Location: Homestead, FL 33030  

     

    Job Overview: 

    The Derivative Packaging Tech is responsible for accurately weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis concentrate products in compliance with company standards and state regulations. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to maintain production goals while working in a temperature-controlled environment. 

     

    Key Responsibilities:  

    • Accurately weigh cannabis concentrate products to specified gram weights. 

    • Package and seal concentrate products according to company procedures. 

    • Maintain a production rate of 50–60 grams of concentrate packaged per hour while meeting quality standards. 

    • Verify product weights using calibrated scales. 

    • Apply labels and packaging in accordance with state compliance requirements. 

    • Perform quality control inspections to ensure accuracy, cleanliness, and product integrity. 

    • Maintain detailed production records and complete required documentation. 

    • Keep workstations clean and organized following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation procedures. 

    • Follow all company safety policies and state cannabis regulations. 

    • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals. 

    • Other duties as assigned.  

     

    Work Environment: 

    • Work is performed in a cold, temperature-controlled production environment to preserve concentrate quality. 

    • Employees should be comfortable standing and sitting for extended periods. 

    • Repetitive hand movements and fine motor skills are required. 

    • Personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, hairnets, and other protective gear, must be worn as required. 

     

     

    Qualifications: 

    • High school diploma or GED preferred. 

    • Previous experience in cannabis manufacturing, packaging, food production, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or other regulated production environments is preferred. 

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision. 

    • Basic math skills and the ability to accurately weigh products. 

    • Ability to meet hourly production expectations while maintaining quality. 

    • Reliable attendance and punctuality. 

    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. 

     

    Performance Expectations: 

    • Package 50–60 units of concentrate per hour while maintaining accuracy and product quality between tasks. 

    • Minimize product waste and packaging errors. 

    • Adhere to all compliance, safety, and quality assurance standards. 

    • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout each shift. 

     

    Starting wage: $16.00 per hour. The Flowery offers benefits, paid time off accruals and paid holidays to all full-time employees.
