Job Summary
Avalon Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dermatologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dermatological practices and a passion for patient care. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of skin conditions, providing comprehensive care to patients, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.


Duties


  • Conduct thorough examinations of patients to assess skin conditions and diseases.
  • Diagnose and treat various dermatological issues, including but not limited to acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancers.
  • Perform dermatological procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy.
  • Collaborate with other specialists in areas such as pathology, rheumatology, and trauma medicine when necessary.
  • Provide education to patients regarding skin health, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with medical office protocols.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in dermatology and related fields such as vascular radiography and respiratory therapy.
Qualifications


  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with a specialization in Dermatology.
  • Valid medical license to practice dermatology in the relevant state.
  • Experience in patient care within a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of related fields such as DME (Durable Medical Equipment), ICU practices, and trauma medicine is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly to patients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism.
