At Fast Pace Health, Dermatology Clinical Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Dermatology Provider. The position will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using, excellent, in-depth knowledge as well as communicating effectively with team members.

Administrative Duties:
Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of the Patient Care Specialist position as detailed in the specific Patient Care Specialist job description.
Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and schedule referrals.
Maintain and update patient records.
Prepare and organize patient charts for upcoming appointments.
Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
May perform as a Scribe as needed.
Assist providers with conducting proper patient follow-ups, including but not limited to, conducting follow-up calls within 1-2 days of treatment, respond to messages within the same day of receipt.
Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and triage urgent messages to dermatology provider.
Manage inventory, order medical supplies and medications as needed.
Cross-promote all areas of Practice, including services for facial rejuvenation, injectables, peels, microdermabrasion, and facials, in addition to other services that may be added to the service menu.
Responsible for learning the aspects of compliance in the company by completing all mandatory compliance training.
Maintain dermatology knowledge to promote and sell services.

Level 1: High School Diploma or its equivalent with a current CPR license* and/or at least 2 years of experience as a certified MA/LPN preferred in a clinical office setting, preferably in a dermatology office setting.
Level 2: Certified MA/LPN with a current CPR license* and either (1) 1 year experience in a medical dermatology office assisting dermatology providers or (2) 3 years’ experience in relevant role in a clinical office setting.
Level 3: Certified MA/LPN with a current CPR license* and either (1) 3 years’ experience in a medical dermatology office assisting dermatology providers or (2) 5 years’ experience in relevant role in a clinical office setting.
Level 4: Licensed RN with a current CPR license* and either (1) 3 years’ experience in a medical dermatology office assisting dermatology providers or (2) 5 years’ experience in relevant role in a clinical office setting.
*Receive and active within 60 days of hire.
Experience Requirements and Preferences::
Basic Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent
AND
Experience: Certified MA/LPN/RN with a current CPR license* and either (1) 1 year experience in a medical dermatology office assisting dermatology providers
Current License or Certification:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school strongly preferred.
License must be active, in good standing, and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency.
