QualDerm Partners is looking for a dedicated Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team in North Wilkesboro. As a Dermatology Medical Assistant in North Wilkesboro, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and ensuring operational efficiency within our practice. Responsibilities
Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring the availability of necessary instruments and equipment.
Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimens for analysis.
Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
Manage patient scheduling and office communication effectively.
Educate patients on treatment options, medications, and appropriate skincare practices.
Keep examination rooms clean and adequately stocked with supplies.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and staff.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus.
