QualDerm Partners is currently looking for a compassionate and skilled Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our Pinehurst, NC (PIN) team. We specialize in providing comprehensive skin and aesthetics wellness services with a focus on dermatology, skin cancer treatment, cosmetics, and plastic surgery. As a Dermatology Medical Assistant at our Pinehurst location, you will be an essential part of the clinical team, helping to ensure excellent patient care and smooth clinical operations. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and collecting detailed medical histories.
- Assist physicians during clinical examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are prepared.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and correctly prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and manage effective communication in the office.
- Provide patient education about treatment plans, medication instructions, and skincare recommendations.
- Keep examination rooms tidy, organized, and stocked with necessary medical supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical assistant role or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, especially related to dermatology.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive health information professionally.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software is advantageous.
