Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) \u2013 Medical Dermatology\n \nLocation: Rosewood, NC (Rural Health) \n \nEmployment Type: Full-Time \n \nPosition Overview \n \nWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with experience in medical dermatology to join our growing rural health dermatology practice. This role is ideal for a provider who values meaningful patient relationships, continuity of care, and improving access to dermatologic services in underserved communities. \n \nThe provider will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medically necessary skin conditions while working collaboratively with supervising physicians. This position focuses exclusively on clinical dermatology, emphasizing evidence \u2011 based care, patient education, and community impact. \n \nKey Responsibilities \n\n Perform comprehensive dermatologic evaluations, including detailed histories and full \u2011 body skin examinations. \n Diagnose and manage common and chronic dermatologic conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, fungal infections, rashes, etc.). \n Identify and treat precancerous and cancerous lesions (AK, BCC, SCC, melanoma) within scope of practice. \n Perform medical dermatology procedures including: \n \no Shave, punch, and excisional biopsies \n \no Cryotherapy \n \no Lesion removal \n \no Wound care and post-procedure management \n\n Order, review, and interpret dermatopathology and diagnostic tests. \n Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. \n Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with licensure and clinical guidelines. \n Provide patient-centered education on skin health, disease prevention, and treatment expectations. \n Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR. \n Uphold all regulatory, clinical, and HIPAA standards. \n Participate in ongoing professional development and dermatology \u2011 specific continuing education. \n \nQualifications \n \nRequired \n\n Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program. \n Current NP or PA license in North Carolina. \n National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP; NCCPA for PA). \n Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience (medical dermatology strongly preferred). \n Strong diagnostic reasoning and procedural skills. \n Excellent communication and patient \u2011 education abilities. \n Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast \u2011 paced clinical setting. \n \nPreferred \n\n Dermatology certification (e.g., DCNP for NPs or equivalent dermatology-focused certification for PAs) or willingness to pursue certification after hire. \n Experience performing dermatologic procedures (biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal, etc.). \n Familiarity with dermatoscopy and EMR systems. \n Commitment to rural health, access-to-care initiatives, and long-term patient relationships. \n \nCompensation & Benefits \n\n Competitive salary commensurate with experience. \n Health, dental, and vision insurance. \n Paid time off and paid holidays. \n CME allowance and dedicated CME time. \n Malpractice insurance coverage. \n Retirement plan options. \n Supportive onboarding and dermatology \u2011 specific training resources. \n \nWork Environment \n\n Collaborative, patient-centered dermatology team committed to high-quality medical care. \n Modern clinical setting equipped with diagnostic and procedural dermatology tools. \n Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community skin health in a rural region. \n* Ability to build long-term relationships with patients who value accessible, compassionate care. \n\n
