We arelooking for:Dermatology Veterinary Technician

Small animalscan experience over 160 different conditions that relate to dermatology. If you like a good mystery and the research it takes tocome up withanswers, Dermatology is thedepartmentfor you! This team runspointon allergy testing, ear and skin cytology, skin scraping, fine needle aspiration,biopsiesand cultures, as well as client educationand collaboration.

What you’ll do: 

• Manage appointments: obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.

• Perform “Gold standard” Intradermal and Serum allergy testing on both canines and felines.

• Intravenous catheter placement, venipuncture, performing biopsies, earcytology’s, skin scraping/cytology’s, fungal disease testing, and various other laboratory testing.

• Assistwith deep ear flushes (middle ear cleaning with video-otoscopy)

• Learn about andutilizevarious therapeutic diets for canines and felines based on allergicdisease.

• Inspire, teach, multitask and be a highly functional team member

• Ensure documentation isaccurateand complete

Who you are: 

• State Registered Veterinary Technician licensepreferred

• Prior veterinary experience,previousdermatologyexperience desired

• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)

• Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
