Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently looking for a part-time senior Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team in Long Beach, CA applying Engineering knowledge/principles, tools, and techniques to a continuing series of upgrades and improvements to the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft.Position ResponsibilitiesAs a senior Avionics Systems Engineer, the selected candidate will rapidly integrate into the team and apply an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis, design, development, system level test/verification and validation of the C-17 Flight Management System (FMS) and other Avionics Systems. In addition, the candidate will apply job principles, theories, and concepts to develop new capability for the C-17.The primary subject matter for this role will be the Flight Management System, which is responsible for Flight Planning/navigation, guidance, control, display, and automation of aircraft.
