Summary:
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering continuous learning and improvement.
Review and approve technical approaches, products, and processes.
Collaborate with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements on complex projects.
Translate complex requirements into system architecture, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications.
Lead testing and validation of complex system designs to ensure operational and functional requirements are met.
Manage critical supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
Assign responsibilities to team members while ensuring technical accuracy and consistency of deliverables.
Research emerging technologies for potential application to company business needs.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Previous experience in defense or aerospace industry.
Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science.
9+ years of systems engineering experience, including requirements analysis, functional decomposition, integrated design, evaluation, and verification.
9+ years of experience in avionics hardware/software development, design, production, and project management.
9+ years of experience in process development, qualification, physical/functional integration, installation design, and resolving supplier technical issues.
9+ years of experience with hardware and LRU development, testing, and qualification.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with advanced cockpit displays (HUD, UFCD, LAD) and mission systems avionics.
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance strongly preferred.
Experience with commercial and military avionics systems.
Supplier and supply chain management experience.
Proposal development experience.
