Position Overview:

The Design Inventory Associate is a member of the Design Team. The Design Inventory Associate is an exempt, hourly, full-time position reporting to the Design Director. Design Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining an inventory system of Design Department sample sets at all phases of the product lifecycle, brand historical Archive and in-house design supplies. This role combines the need for meticulous organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Receiving /Assorting /Communication

  • Communicate receipt of samples to Design team for inspection and review, working with cross functional teams to stay aware of timing especially as it pertains to design calendar timelines

  • Ensure that all received items are appropriately cataloged and/or visually merchandised for presentations and assortment review meetings upon request, with corresponding hand off documentation to support accurate recordkeeping

  • Manage jewelry samples at all phases of product lifecycle, including cataloging, visually merchandising, archiving and designating for sample sale or destruction

  • Receive and organize stone and materials reference samples and jewelry supplies in Design Lab in a timely manner, maintain organization over time and usage

  • Respond to cross functional team sample requests, fulfilling as appropriate, or directing to the correct team - requests are to be logged and reported

  • Assist in Market preparations, coordinate samples and jewelry supplies needed for sample alterations pre-market with the design team to handoff for market appointments

  • Maintain organization of the general office space, sorting samples after team use and returning them to inventory or display as needed

  • Maintain supportive partnership with Product Development Inventory Specialist to support product receiving, distribution and maintenance needs

  • Arrange transport of excess product inventory to Sample Sale or destruction partner as needed

  • Submit jewelry findings orders to product teams as needed

  • Maintain organization of samples within the general office space

  • Some minor jewelry assembly as needed

  • Some travel to support store setup/refresh and cross-train for brand visual merchandising

Design Team Member

  • Champion the Kendra Scott design aesthetic, quality expectation and innovative mindset
  • Maintain a high level of communication with Supervisor and design team
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and create best practices within area of responsibility
  • Contribute own and regard others personal aesthetic sensibilities to enrich team perspective
  • Must be organized, able to act independently as well as take direction, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a clean, efficient and safe working environment

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years' experience in Sample Inventory for a high-growth company

  • A proven ability to execute with consistent delivery

  • Strong multi-tasking skills and follow up are critical in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail oriented and meticulously organized. Should really enjoy organizing, beautifying and tidying a space

  • Experienced with Excel

  • Flexible schedule allowing for peak hours on a seasonal product schedule

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

  • Must have valid driver's license and own a vehicle

  • A strong ability to build relationship with co-workers and keep others informed
