Design-Build Electrical Project Manager — Commercial Construction (Metro Boston)

Compensation Range: $125,000 - $140,000

A week in this role: You’ll kick off Monday reviewing pre-construction plans with a GC and architect you’ve partnered with for years. Midweek, you’ll be on-site—walking jobs, coaching foremen, and validating that fast-track milestones align with budget projections. By Friday, you’re closing out a project, issuing cost-to-complete updates, and gearing up the next design-build scope. Every project is within driving distance—no hotel nights, ever.

About the Company

For more than 40 years, this Metro Boston electrical contractor has been locally owned and operated. Project Managers collaborate directly with ownership, shaping strategy rather than working around it. The team is known for design-build execution and fast-track delivery—meaning you’re engaged from pre-construction through closeout alongside general contractors, engineers, and architects who trust the firm’s approach.

Why This Role Opened

Growth. The project portfolio keeps expanding, and the seat is designed to scale into a Senior Project Manager as the pipeline continues to build.

  • Own the full lifecycle of commercial electrical projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Lead design-build scopes and deliver on aggressive, fast-track schedules.
  • Direct field operations: provide day-to-day leadership to foremen and crews.
  • Control financials: maintain budgets, track job costs, and generate projection reports.
  • Coordinate stakeholders: partner with GCs, engineers, architects, and owners to keep scope, schedule, and quality aligned.
  • Stay present in the field with weekly site visits across active projects.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years managing electrical construction projects or leading in a foreman capacity.
  • Proven design-build and field background; hands-on experience is essential.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant standards.
  • Fluency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents.
  • Skill managing multiple concurrent projects while guiding field personnel.
  • OSHA 10 required; an electrical license is preferred.
