Overview:

NFIB is looking for a Design Coordinator to join our team. We are an energetic group passionate about advocating for small business rights at the state and federal level. Our association has a rich history and is respected for the work we have done for over 80 years. Advocating for and assisting our members is a top priority.

Responsibilities:

The Design Coordinator uses graphic design, deliverable coordination, and project management to bring the NFIB brand to life through sophisticated digital and print collateral. This includes collaboration with all NFIB departments to deliver on-brand designs that support NFIB communications and marketing objectives with key audiences including small business owners and lawmakers.

 

Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; work outcomes must meet and / or exceed productivity and quality standards. Must be able to work as part of a cooperative team environment and independent of direct supervision; adhere to Company and Department policies and procedures.Responsibilities include reinforcing key organizational messages to foster employee understanding of NFIB mission and vision; exemplifies core values. Performs other projects as needed.

 

Salary Range for position - $60,000-70,000

Position is hybrid – must work in the DC office.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Bachelor or Associate degree in Graphic Design or related field with three or more years of in-office professional design experience showcasing versatility in both print and digital design; OR
high school diploma/GED with five or more years of professional in-office design experience demonstrating high standards of versatility in both print and digital design.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud with emphasis on Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite.
  2. Experience designing end-to-end creative solutions from concept to pre-production and strong understanding of digital output and printing specifications.
  3. Comfortable handling multiple projects, strong time management skills, and ability to prioritize effectively.
  4. Work with a broad range of internal stakeholders to complete projects on time and on brand.
  5. Able to cultivate positive working relationships with a range of internal stakeholders across multiple departments.
  6. Detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Consistently display professionalism, diplomacy, confidentiality, initiative, and sound judgment.
  8. Ability to advocate for brand consistency and stewardship.
