Job Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and certification of hydraulic and electro-mechanical actuation systems. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD experience and a background in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Design and improve new and existing actuation products.
Create 3D models and engineering drawings using CATIA V5/V6 or SolidWorks.
Support product development, testing, analysis, and certification activities.
Work with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and supply chain teams to resolve technical issues.
Support production and product engineering teams with design changes and technical solutions.
Coordinate engineering assignments and provide technical updates.
Develop practical design solutions for complex engineering challenges.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Strong experience with CATIA V5/V6, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
Experience with mechanical design, modeling, and drafting.
Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with hydraulic actuators, valves, pumps, reservoirs, accumulators, or hydraulic power packs.
Experience with electro-mechanical actuators, motors, ball screws, roller screws, gears, splines, or planetary gear sets.
Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, finishes, and certification requirements.
Experience with vibration testing, qualification testing, thermal considerations, or MMPDS material properties.
Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, MathCAD, or KISSsoft.
Aerospace or defense product development experience.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
