Position Overview
We are seeking a Design Engineer to support the design, integration, and optimization of chemical delivery, slurry, and waste chemical collection systems for advanced semiconductor facilities. This role is projected to support the TSMC FAB21 program and is ideal for an engineer with strong high-purity utility experience who enjoys hands-on project execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop engineering deliverables for chemical delivery systems, slurry systems, and waste chemical collection systems, including PFDs, P&IDs, specifications, layouts, and calculations.
• Support equipment and material selection for ultra-high-purity and corrosive chemical service, including pumps, filters, valves, analyzers, and piping systems.
• Coordinate with process, tool, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure designs meet flow, pressure, cleanliness, safety, and operational requirements.
• Review vendor documents, shop drawings, and field conditions; support design revisions and technical clarifications during execution.
• Participate in system testing, startup planning, FAT/SAT support, and turnover documentation.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant experience designing or supporting chemical distribution, high-purity piping, or process utility systems.
• Ability to interpret and produce P&IDs, layouts, specifications, and technical calculations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in semiconductor fabs or other ultra-clean manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of PVDF, PTFE, PFA, stainless steel, and other chemical service materials.
• Familiarity with FAT/SAT, contamination control, and commissioning practices.
