As a Design Engineer, you"ll develop engineering and construction packages for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems ranging from 4kV to 138kV. What You"ll Do
As a key member of our engineering team, you will:
Develop detailed design and construction work packages for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems
Support critical utility programs, including:
Conduct field visits to gather data, perform inspections, and support project execution
Perform engineering calculations, including:
Prepare permitting and regulatory documentation for local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
Provide engineering support during construction and respond to field design questions
Conduct post-construction reviews to ensure compliance with engineering standards
Analyze distribution outages, identify root causes, and develop mitigation solutions
Collaborate with clients, project managers, field personnel, and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery
Grow into technical leadership opportunities and mentor future engineers as your career advances
What We"re Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor"s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Engineering Technology degrees are not eligible for this position
Interest in electrical utility systems and power distribution engineering
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Ability to interact professionally with clients and stakeholders
Interest in developing leadership skills and growing within an engineering organization

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.81 - $29.81/hr.
