Engineering Design and R&D Specialist
Job Description
Develop and refine design concepts for engineering projects. Create detailed technical drawings and specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals. Analyze project requirements and provide feasible design solutions. Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations. Participate in testing and troubleshooting to validate designs. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team. Document design processes and maintain accurate records.

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Prior engineering internship, co-op, or professional experience preferred. Experience using CAD/design software and standard business applications. Exposure to product design, manufacturing environments, and engineering best practices. Understanding of fabrication, machining, or other industrial production processes is a plus. Familiarity with simulation, modeling, and design validation tools is advantageous. Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams. Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail.
