Description

Product & Process Design

• Develop and refine engineering designs for new and existing product lines, including ceilings and containment assemblies.
• Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, On Shape, or similar CAD platforms.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure products comply with relevant codes and certifications (e.g., CISCA, ISO 9001).
• Participate in product testing and validation to ensure structural and airflow performance standards are met.
• Support customer-specific requirements with tailored design solutions.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with sales, project management, and installation teams to understand client needs and translate them into manufacturable designs.
• Participate in design reviews and value engineering sessions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing design engineering, ideally in building products, modular systems, or structural steel fabrication.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, On Shape (or similar 3D CAD), with strong GD&T understanding.
• Familiarity with metal forming, welding, and assembly processes.
• Strong grasp of DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly) principles.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Ladson, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
