Design Engineer - PT

We are searching for an experienced Part time Design Engineer - PT at our Mankato, MN facility.

What You'll Do

  • Create manufacturing drawings and documentation based on customer orders and specifications
  • Develop submittal drawings for customer approval
  • Build Bills of Materials in our ERP system for project-specific needs
  • Work in 3D parametric modeling software
  • Support the plant with technical questions during manufacturing
  • Create installation instructions and parts manuals that are clear and user-friendly

What You Might Bring (These are helpful — not hard requirements. If you have related experience, we want to hear from you!)

  • Background in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Drafting, or similar — or equivalent experience
  • Around 4+ years of education, design or drafting experience (but again — let's talk if you're close!)
  • Experience with 3D parametric modeling (Inventor, CREO, SolidWorks)
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks
  • Ability to create clear instructions, documentation, or process guides
