Individuals in this position work from customer order requirements, specifications, and engineering standards to develop final design solutions utilizing CAD software and engineering calculations as required. QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field with a minimum of one (1) year of related experience, or Associate degree in an engineering-related field with four (4) or more years of related experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Proficient in algebra and geometry as required to solve engineering problems. COMPUTER SKILLS:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. Employees spend some time on shop floor. Most of the time will be spent sitting at a computer workstation and using a telephone. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Most of the time, the work environment is a pleasant, temperature-controlled office environment within a manufacturing setting. The employees’ workstation may be located on the second floor. While primarily office-based, the employee will have frequent interaction with shop floor personnel. Occasional travel to customer facilities may be required to review applications and support the installation, start-up, and commissioning of company products. In these environments, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and varying noise levels. Employees are required to comply with all company safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the work environment.
