Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Generate engineering analyses and designs using engineering principles and techniques such as computer aided design and design for manufacturing that meet specifications
• Participate in design reviews within department and with manufacturing personnel
• Follow established documentation and document control procedures
• Provide technical information for creation of sales and marketing materials
• Assist in continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts based on feedback from internal stakeholders and customers
• Maintain knowledge of competing products and trends in the suppressor market
• Assist in the development of new product design concepts supported by research, testing, and analysis
• Perform hands-on work on suppressors, firearms, and accessories, including assembly/disassembly, inspection, and measurement
• Coordinate as required with other internal groups including manufacturing, purchasing, quality control, sales, marketing, and accounting personnel.
• Keep supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
