Description
Title: Design Engineer
Location: Remote (Excluding: NY, CA, HI, CT, NJ, OR, MO, WA)
Hire Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $65,000-$85,000
Must have Skill Set: CAD drafting, markup reviews, and technical comprehension
Overview:
This entry-level engineering role supports project execution under the guidance of senior staff, contributing to CAD drafting, markup reviews, and technical development. The ideal candidate will work independently in a remote environment to complete assignments within defined timelines while remaining eager to learn and adapt to standard procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop a foundational understanding of civil engineering, industry terminology, and construction methodology.
Job Duties:
- Work under the supervision of Project Engineers and/or a Discipline Manager.
- Conduct preliminary reviews and markup evaluations.
- Address basic markups and redlines in CAD.
- Mentor entry-level drafters and engineers.
- Follow all standard operating procedures.
- Complete all assignments on time and within allowable hours.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in an Engineering field from an ABET-accredited university.
- Experience: No prior engineering work experience required.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Novice technical comprehension and novice CAD skills.
- Understanding of project scope, schedule, deadlines, and utility locates.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong communication skills, a robust work ethic, and a proactive approach to following instructions.
- Receptive to constructive feedback, inquisitive, and eager to learn.
- Understanding of safety concerns and required PPE.
- Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
