    Job Description

    Your impact, day one

Step into a role where you turn customer concepts into production-ready designs. As our DFM Engineer, you will translate requirements from customer job files into robust 3D models and detailed drawings, then guide those designs through documentation and handoff to manufacturing. You will coordinate with our development team to ensure every design decision is recorded, traceable, and ready for build.

    What you'll do

    • Interpret and refine customer concepts, building clear project objectives from job files.
    • Estimate effort and set timelines; monitor progress, coordinate stakeholders, and remove roadblocks to keep delivery on track.
    • Create manufacturing-ready models and drawings for shop-floor use.
    • Own project outcomes—scope, schedule, quality—from kickoff through release.
    • Communicate proactively with internal teams and customers to align on expectations and changes.
    • Safeguard our reputation by upholding federal ITAR compliance in all design data and communications.
    • Pitch in on additional tasks as business needs evolve.

    How success is measured

    • On-time delivery against assigned due dates and customer commitments.
    • Conformance to quality standards across all assigned work.
    • Consistent adherence to safe work practices.

    What you bring

    • Mindset for continuous improvement—comfortable analyzing, challenging, and evolving processes, and communicating change across a diverse team.
    • Strong organization and time management; able to prioritize and juggle multiple projects independently.
    • Clear written and verbal communication; excellent interpersonal skills.
    • High proficiency with design tools: SolidWorks, Cadkey, Windows, MS Office, email, internet; Unigraphics (NX) familiarity is a plus.

    Background

    • BS in Engineering; or 5+ years of relevant experience demonstrating advanced knowledge gained through experience and continuing education.
    • Valid Driver’s license.

    Benefits may include

    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
    • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions
