Position Location: US-IA-CEDAR RAPIDS, 108~400 Collins Rd NE, BLDG 108.Date Posted: 2026-05-05.Role Type: Onsite.Citizenship Requirement: U.S. citizenship only.Security Clearance: None/Not required.Salary Range: $86,800 – $165,200 per year.Job Summary Collins Aerospace is seeking a Design for Manufacturing Engineer to review circuit card assemblies and engineering designs, ensuring compliance with internal, industry, and contractual standards while coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve issues and improve design robustness and manufacturability. The role may also support tool testing and debugging.Responsibilities Perform reviews on circuit card assemblies to ensure design rules are followed.Coordinate with Engineering, designers, and manufacturing for clarifications of requested changes.Provide design solutions to help resolve findings and ensure robust design.Review engineering models and drawings from electrical engineering and other technical support personnel for compliance with internal and external industry standards.Apply company, industry, and contractual standards during review of circuit card design and documentation data.Apply knowledge of manufacturing and producibility capabilities to ensure effective design.Assist tool support team in testing and debugging of software tools as required.Requirements Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years relevant experience;or an advanced degree in a related field with minimum 3 years experience.Experience in electronics manufacturing.Preferred Qualifications Experience in SMD line support.Experience using a PDM (Enovia).Self‑motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with team members across departments.Attention to detail.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.Proactive problem‑solving skills with the ability to find solutions even when complete information is not available.Benefits Eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
